Asia stocks climb tracking Wall St rally; Nikkei hits record high, China GDP beats
Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX declined 0.14%.
The best performers of the session on the AEX were Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN), which rose 7.64% or 0.49 points to trade at 6.93 at the close. Meanwhile, ABN AMRO Group NV (AS:ABNd) added 0.90% or 0.23 points to end at 25.75 and ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) was up 0.78% or 0.17 points to 21.43 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wolters Kluwer (AS:WLSNc), which fell 2.84% or 3.35 points to trade at 114.75 at the close. Akzo Nobel NV (AS:AKZO) declined 2.76% or 1.62 points to end at 57.02 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was down 2.49% or 0.73 points to 28.53.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 54 to 43 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aegon Ltd (AS:AEGN) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 7.64% or 0.49 to 6.93. Shares in ING Groep NV (AS:INGA) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 0.78% or 0.17 to 21.43.
The AEX Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.88% or 0.55 to $63.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.85% or 0.57 to hit $67.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.06% or 1.95 to trade at $3,386.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.39% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 98.56.
