Asia stocks climb tracking Wall St rally; Nikkei hits record high, China GDP beats
Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX rose 0.66% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Orkla ASA (OL:ORK), which rose 2.58% or 2.90 points to trade at 115.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Cmb.Tech NV (OL:CMBT) added 1.48% or 1.29 points to end at 88.60 and Equinor ASA (OL:EQNR) was up 1.42% or 3.50 points to 250.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OL:NOD), which fell 3.94% or 6.60 points to trade at 161.00 at the close. Subsea 7 SA (OL:SUBC) declined 1.26% or 2.60 points to end at 203.60 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was down 1.20% or 0.03 points to 2.46.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 131 to 124 and 33 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.79% or 0.49 to $62.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.85% or 0.56 to hit $66.35 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.96% or 32.10 to trade at $3,390.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.16% to 11.95, while USD/NOK fell 0.30% to 10.24.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 97.99.
