Asia stocks climb tracking Wall St rally; Nikkei hits record high, China GDP beats
Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 0.87% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were SalMar ASA (OL:SALM), which rose 5.16% or 24.40 points to trade at 497.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Hafnia Ltd (OL:HAFNI) added 4.66% or 2.64 points to end at 59.28 and Frontline Ltd (OL:FRO) was up 3.80% or 7.40 points to 201.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cmb.Tech NV (OL:CMBT), which fell 3.61% or 3.20 points to trade at 85.40 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) declined 1.48% or 5.60 points to end at 372.40 and Nel ASA (OL:NEL) was down 1.22% or 0.03 points to 2.43.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 151 to 116 and 26 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.45% or 0.28 to $62.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.45% or 0.30 to hit $67.14 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.30 to trade at $3,388.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.71% to 11.83, while USD/NOK fell 0.40% to 10.19.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 98.44.
